Toilet Replacement Across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London
An old toilet that constantly needs fixing is a false economy. Our qualified plumbers remove your old toilet and install a new one with fresh plumbing connections across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London.
When to Replace Your Toilet
Here are the signs that it is time for a new toilet rather than another repair.
Frequent Breakdowns
If you are calling out a plumber every few months for toilet repairs the cumulative cost exceeds a new toilet installation. Replacement saves money in the long run.
Cracked Pan or Cistern
A hairline crack in the ceramic pan or cistern will eventually leak and could fail suddenly causing a flood. Replacement is the only safe option.
High Water Bills
An old toilet uses up to thirteen litres per flush compared to four to six litres for a modern dual flush toilet. A new toilet can cut your water bill noticeably.
Stubborn Staining
Deep ingrained stains that will not shift are not just unsightly. They often indicate the ceramic glaze has worn through making the surface porous and unhygienic.
Bathroom Refurbishment
If you are updating your bathroom a new toilet completes the look. Old toilets stand out in a freshly refurbished bathroom and undermine all the other work.
Moving or Adding a Toilet
Changing the bathroom layout or adding a new toilet to a different room requires a fresh installation with new pipework and connections.

Toilet Replacement FAQs
Common questions about toilet replacement
How long does toilet replacement take?
A standard toilet swap takes two to three hours from isolating the water supply to final testing. If the soil pipe or supply pipework needs altering it may take longer. We will give you a clear time estimate when we quote.
Can you replace my toilet with a different type?
Yes. You can switch from a close coupled toilet to a back to wall or wall hung design. Changing the type may involve additional plumbing work which we will explain before starting.
Will you disconnect and dispose of my old toilet?
Yes. We isolate the water supply, disconnect the old toilet, remove it from your home and dispose of it responsibly. We leave the area clean and ready for the new toilet.
Should I replace the pan connector?
Yes. We always fit a new pan connector when replacing a toilet. The old one has been compressed for years and reusing it risks a leak. A new one guarantees a watertight seal.
Can you supply the new toilet?
Yes. We can supply a quality toilet suite through our trade accounts at competitive prices. Or you can buy your own and we will fit it. Either way works.
What is dual flush and should I get it?
Dual flush toilets have two buttons giving a short flush for liquid waste and a full flush for solid waste. They use less water than old single flush toilets. Most new toilets are dual flush and we recommend them.
