Larger Jobs & Other Services on a Quotation Basis
Larger or planned plumbing, heating and gas work will normally be carried out on a quotation basis. This can include:
- Boiler repairs and installations
- Central heating work
- Radiator work
- Gas appliance work
- Pipework and leak repairs
- Bathroom and plumbing installations
- Larger repairs and replacements
- Other plumbing, heating and gas services

Our call-out fee covers the engineer's attendance, initial diagnosis and up to 30 minutes of labour for a small repair where possible.
Parts and materials are not included.
If additional labour, parts or further work are required, these will be charged separately. Wherever reasonably possible, we will explain the additional cost and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Payment of a call-out fee does not guarantee that the problem can be fully repaired during the first visit. Some plumbing, heating and gas faults may require parts, further investigation or a return visit.
If the engineer is able only to diagnose or make the situation safe, the applicable call-out charge remains payable.
All prices shown are exclusive of VAT at 20%, with the VAT-inclusive amount also displayed for clarity.

What does the call-out fee cover?

When do I pay the call-out charge?
The call-out charge is payable in advance, before the engineer starts travelling to your property. This covers our engineer's time and travel whether or not the fault can be fully repaired on the first visit.
Are parts included in the call-out fee?
No, parts and materials are not included. If additional labour, parts or further work are required, these will be charged separately. We will explain the additional cost and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work wherever reasonably possible.
What if my problem needs more than 30 minutes to fix?
Labour beyond the included 30 minutes is charged at our hourly labour rate. We will always explain the cost and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Is the price different for gas work?
Our call-out and labour charges apply to plumbing, heating and gas work alike. For gas-related work, the work will be carried out by an appropriately qualified Gas Safe registered engineer where required.
Are your prices inclusive of VAT?
All prices shown are exclusive of VAT at 20%, with the VAT-inclusive amount also displayed for clarity. Both figures are shown on this page so you know exactly what you will pay.
